Description
NomadsTrails real life test: around 2 months of daily use while crossing Finland by bicycle in Winter.
Pros: well made and designed, the bag is really warm with good quality zippers. Outer fabric is rated as waterproof which means the water stands really good. This is very important with winter bags especially if you use it for expeditions, because you will have morning condensation inside of your tent on your sleeping bag. Filling is 900 Fill Power ethically sourced Polish goose down which is really good. I would recommend asking Cumulus to use waterproof down. Waterproof down stands the moisture better.
Cumulus has good customer service and gives a lifetime experience warranty.
Comfort is -27 celsius which compared to the 1920 grams of weight is really good.
Cons: this bag works exactly as it is described so basically no cons but if I want to be picky, I would say that all the big winter bags are difficult to dry if they get wet. In 2025 winters are unfortunately unpredictable. This means even in the middle of the winter in the arctic, you can experience plus degrees, so having one big winter bag can be too warm.
