Description

Peyman used it at least 1.5 years daily in winter and autumn and summer trips in Lapland.

Pros:

• It is the only real 4 season tent
• Made in U.S
• I highly recommend combining it with Seeksoutside’s SXL titanium stove during winter and autumn. When outside is -30°c you can have +20°c inside with the stove.
• Perfect for long winter ski trips or hikes during autumn
• You can dry your gear inside
• Super lightweight but very durable
• Simple and easy to fix
• Perfect for winter and autumn, but also great for summer if you combine it with half nest
• Perfect for 1 person on a winter trip, 2 people is okay, but with stove won’t fit with more than 2 people.

SXL standard stove is extremely durable and lightweight for what it does. All in all, imagine you are carrying your warm cottage in your backpack which weights more or less 3 kg (stove tent etc..). I recommend combining it with at least half liner, so you manage condensation better when the stove is off.

Perfect shelter if you live in Finland and you don’t go above the treeline.

Cons:

• It is expensive but very well worth the money
• I don’t recommend using it in winter at the mountains for example in Norway or tunturi in Lapland, since it can be a big challenge with high winds in those regions.

Tips:

• You can order it without door screens (nets) since those add on your shelter’s weight and have not so much effect on keeping the mosquitoes away.
• In winter you can set up the stove on top of snow by placing the stove on top of 2 long pieces of wood if you don’t want to dig all the way to the ground.
